Torbreck Cuvee Juveniles Blanc 2024
Korean BBQ Prawn Skewers with Micro Cilantro and Toasted Sesame
Varietal composition: 25% Roussanne, 24% Marsanne, 24%, Grenache Blanc, 20% Clariette, 7% Viognier
Pale straw green. Immediately appealing aromas of tropical fruits such as guava, green mango balanced by restrained nashi pear and yellow nectarine notes. The exotic fruit profile intermingles with Asian spices such as lemongrass and pickled Japanese ginger and white floral notes. The palate’s medium weight demonstrates a lightness and deft touch, with long acidity and acute fruit flavours. The mineral like acidity shines through with a saline and seashell freshness. An exuberant, modern expression of Rhone varieties. Best enjoyed in its youth, it will age for up to 5 years. Serve chilled at 9C/.48F. Pair with spicy Asian seafood salads, charcuterie or pate de foie gras.
Seafood Course
Torbreck Woodcutter’s Semillon Juveniles Blanc 2024
Lobster Consommé with Collard Greens and Herb Oil
Varietal composition: 100% Semillon
The natural acidity and medium body of the Semillon grape takes great pride in the 100+ year old Barossa Valley vineyards that are naturally suited to the region. A wine that shows lifted aromas of fresh citrus fruits of Amalfi lemon, kaffir lime, grapefruit pith balance by aromatic perfume of citrus flowers such lemon myrtle and lime blossom. The palate is a little firmer and tighter than previous vintages with tangy, needle like acidity cleansing to the finish. Enjoy as either a fresh young wine or age for up to 15 years to reveal brioche, lemon curd pastry like notes. Pair with seafood and lighter white fleshed fish dishes, Mexican or Asian salads.
Lamb Course
Torbreck Cuvee Juveniles Red 2022
Barbecued Lamb Kofta with Pita Crisp and Vinegar Pepper Sauce
Varietal composition: 45% Grenache, 36% Mataro, 17% Carignan, 2% Counoise.
A perennial favorite, Grenache from old vines shows its ability to exhibit lifted florals, juicy red fruit characters such as wild red cherry, pomegranate and red currant along with wild Provençal herbs in a bouquet-garni. The addition of Rhone varietals Counoise and Carignan add a savory and spicy complexity complementing Mataro aromas of beef jerky and Chinese five spice. The palate exhibits a medium-bodied texture with long acidity balancing a fruit freshness around a slightly firmer tannin frame than previous vintages. Serve with an array of cuisines including spicy Asian or Mexican dishes.
Pork Course
Torbreck The Struie Shiraz 2024

The fruit and acid intermingle nicely across the textured mouthfeel along a line of soft plush tannins and glossy fruits. A true pleasure that will reward for up to fifteen years but probably best in the first ten. Ready from 2026. Serve with Texas BBQ rib, or any of your favorite steaks.
